Explore Your Voice with the Mosaics
Within a small community choir of supportive people, this class weaves singing in a community choir with group singing lessons!
This 11-week session offers a safe space to support and learn from each other as we explore and apply the exercises and teachings to songs chosen by the group.
Whether singing a solo, in a duo, trio, quartet or simply as a support to others in the group, participants are encouraged to sing where they feel comfortable and are supported to take risks. As we work on the songs at a deeper level than most choir experiences permit, we deepen our understanding of singing, breath, how to support our voices more fully, and how to navigate our fear of singing in front of others. During this process, we are also invited to take the learnings and apply them to our lives.
The winter session is the second of three in our 2025-26 season. Although you may not have been with us for the fall session,
I am confident that you will be ready to perform in our 45-minute concert in June of 2026!
If you or someone you know enjoys music and has always wanted to sing… even if you hold the belief that you may not have skills and/or talent… please know that you are welcome. I am passionate about teaching voice and look forward to supporting your exploration with our choir during our winter session!
Please note: We do not use sheet music, but instead, we use lyric sheets and audio tracks to learn the songs.

What past participants have said...
"There is no better way of staying in the present than getting out of your head and returning to your physical senses. Alison has taught us through dance, breathing, awareness and exercises to be in our bodies, to search for and hopefully dissolve the blockages of the past that are inhibiting us in song as well as in life. Throughout this journey Alison has gently guided us, molded us into a strong, supportive yet tender group of dear friends. Learning to sing is just the bonus. Who thought I could learn so much more at 82..... Thank you, Alison." -HJ
"I have always wanted to sing but had no confidence in my ability. Alison's encouragement, enthusiasm, help and gradual challenging you to do more than you thought you could do, has helped me a great deal. Singing in our group has become more enjoyable." - DD
